This policy explains how MonPanierDeFrance Inc. (NEQ 2277386365), which operates FOD Zero Academy, collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects your personal information, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

Last updated: October 21, 2026.

1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Any question, request or complaint about your personal information may be sent to:

Person in charge of the protection of personal information
MonPanierDeFrance Inc. (FOD Zero Academy), NEQ 2277386365
Email: contact@fodzero.com

2. Information we collect

We only collect the information needed for the purposes described in this policy:
• Identity and account: first name, last name, email address, password (stored encrypted) and, if you provide them, your company and job title.
• Training: enrollments, progress, quiz answers and results, certificates earned and their dates.
• Communications: messages sent through the site or by email, newsletter subscription.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, login logs and cookies required for the site to work.
• Payment: when paid courses become available, payments will be processed by a specialized payment provider. We never receive or store your card numbers.

3. Why we use your information

We use your information to:
• create and manage your account;
• give you access to courses and track your progress;
• issue your certificates and allow them to be verified;
• send you emails related to your account and your courses;
• send you our newsletter, only if you have consented;
• answer your questions and provide support;
• keep the site secure and prevent fraud;
• improve our courses and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for other purposes without your consent, unless the law allows or requires it.

4. Consent

By creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your information for the purposes described above. Your consent to the newsletter is separate and optional. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to the person in charge listed in section 1. Withdrawing consent may, however, limit your access to certain services, such as courses.

Our courses are intended for professionals. We do not knowingly collect information about people under 14 without the consent of the person having parental authority.

5. Disclosure to third parties and outside Quebec

We only share your information with the providers who help us deliver our services, and only as needed for their mandate:
• LearnWorlds (Learnworlds (CY) Ltd, Cyprus): hosting of the learning platform, accounts, results and certificates, and sending of site emails.
• A payment provider, when paid courses become available.

Some of these providers store information outside Quebec, including in the European Union and the United States. Before any disclosure outside Quebec, we assess whether the information will receive adequate protection, and we govern that disclosure by contract.

If your access to a course is provided by your employer (business license), your employer may receive your progress, results and certificates for that course.

We may also disclose information when required by law, for example at the request of a competent authority.

6. Cookies

The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, for example to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. Audience measurement or marketing cookies are only used with your consent, which you can change at any time. For more details, see our cookie policy.
No technology that can identify you, locate you or profile you is enabled by default.

7. Retention

We keep your information as long as your account is active. Information related to your certificates is kept for their period of validity so they can be verified. When information is no longer needed, we securely destroy or anonymize it, subject to the retention periods required by law. You can ask us to close your account at any time.

8. Security

We take reasonable security measures suited to the sensitivity of the information: encrypted connection (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, access limited to the people who need it, and providers that apply recognized security standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident occurs, we promptly take the necessary measures to reduce the risk of harm and prevent it from happening again. If the incident presents a risk of serious harm, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned. We keep a register of all incidents.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:
• access the personal information we hold about you;
• have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
• withdraw your consent;
• ask that the dissemination of your information cease, or that any hyperlink giving access to it be de-indexed, where the law allows;
• receive the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format;
• be informed of any decision based exclusively on automated processing. We currently make no such decisions.

To exercise your rights, write to the person in charge listed in section 1. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The current version is always published on this page, with its last-updated date. If we make an important change, we will let you know by email or through a notice on the site.
